  • Hi,

If you mean a mini-essay version of your personal study, that would be fantastic. If not, an extended paragraph plan will do fine.

Don't worry - personal study is *really* not a big worry, so don't get stressed over it. Remember that it's a pass/fail NAB, and there's plenty of time to work on it yet...

  • Hi Joanne,

    whoah, where to start?

Friar Lawrence may boring, but he does some pretty crucial stuff - I wasn't just being sadistic in choosing him!

Email at school wasn't working today. To be safe, send it tonight to ariadnestar@gmail.com and I'll print it from home.

It's a long time since I saw the movie or read the book of girl:interrupted, but if she had commited suicide, it would have been pretty hard for her to write her autobiography, so the film may indeed be, erm, creative with the facts!

Does that deal with everything? Hope so. Looking forward to the email,

    Ms B

  • Miss, am not exactly sure what 'DRAMATIC TENSION' is. i've got a wee idea but not sure if its right. could you let me know??? Thanks!

  • Hi Stephanie,

Dramatic tension is when the central conflict in a play starts to rise and move towards the climax. You might say that in Romeo and Juliet it starts with Mercutio's death, or even when Tybalt spies Romeo at Capulet's feast. But basically, it does what it says - it's dramatic and tense, so the audience become involved and immersed in the action and the story. That would be the reason for using it (as a playwright).

    Hope that helps,

    Ms B
